The Nook Report is dedicated to sharing news about the Nook eReader, eReaders in general, and eBooks. We became especially interested in the eBook concept while moving a collection of books that accumulated over the past 30 years. We have always enjoyed holding a book in our hands, but the baggage associated with them is a drag – caring for them, dusting, sorting, storing and moving, ugh! The idea of holding thousands of books in an 11.2 oz library is very appealing.
The Kindle has been a very popular device, and it looks to us like the nook may be even better. Both have their benefits. We will show you the similarities and differences, and let you decide. Check out some of our early posts for some background information. Check with us regularily for current news. We are interested in receiving your feedback and we will do our best to respond to your comments.
While eReaders have been around for several years, we now believe that the low entry price, large number of titles available from Amazon for the Kindle and Barnes and Noble for the nook, combined with huge distribution channels will position these devices to dramatically change the market.
Although we believe that the nook will instantly become one of the dominate players in the market due to the great feature set described so far, we are going to objectively cover both the good and the bad.
Your feedback would be appreciated, we would like to make this site better for you and can not do this with out your input.
Help us keep this going by using one of our links if you decide to buy something we talk about, we will get paid a small commission and it will help fund this site for all.
